To understand the various trends at play within digital signage, it’s important to step back and understand where our market is heading. What’s becoming clear is that “digital signage” as it was narrowly defined just a few short years ago is giving way to a much more immersive experience. It’s not just about catching someone’s eye with digital signage, it’s about engaging people once you have their attention – and that includes longtail engagement that continues subsequent to the customer leaving an establishment. Museums, brick & mortar retail, tourist attractions, tradeshows & events, educational institutions and hotels – these segments and many others are embracing the latest technology and using digital displays to entertain, inform and engage their patrons.
Treasure Valley Family YMCA Chooses truDigital Signage to Boost Customer Experience and Reduce Staff Workload
SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH, March 1, 2016—truDigital Signage is pleased to announce that the Treasure Valley Family YMCA has implemented its software to enhance communication, build community and lower costs. Their digital signage software will allow the YMCA to share news, relay messages and display crucial donor information while streamlining the staff members’ tasks.
“We have so many important pieces of news, member stories, thank you messages to donors and valuable information that we want to share daily with our members. Our partnership with truDigital has allowed us to do this in a very impactful and efficient manner. The product is user-friendly, especially for a small team like ours,” said Katherine Johnson, Communications and Marketing Director at Treasure Valley Family YMCA.
While the physical signage technology you choose is important, display solutions are only as good at spurring customer interaction as the content your company is promoting. With so many mediums vying for customers’ attention, it’s easy for your well-intended message to be received as nothing more than visual spam. However, creating engaging content is easier than retailers think these days if they stick to these simple guidelines:
Research: Know your audience. Content must be personally relevant to the viewer. Know the personality traits of your demographic.
